Well I had a blushing bride 
She'd always been by my side 
But this is the tale  
When tragedy befell
 For tonight my blushing bride died

It was the night we were out on the town
 She asked me to show her around
 We went to the park
 That's when things got dark 
And it's when she was shot to the ground

 I leaned in for a kiss 
The sound of his footsteps I missed 
With a bullet to her back
 He was on the attack 
And that's when her last breath escaped her lips
 
It was the night my baby died 
She was shot right in front of my eyes 
With her blood on my face
 It was all that I could taste 
I couldn't save her if I tried

 With the gun pointed to my head
 The killer smiled and he said,
 "Your baby's heart is mine 
Now that I took her life 
And I'll leave you wishing you were dead"
